Best Tradovate Prop Firms 2026

Tradovate runs entirely in the cloud: the account opens in a browser, mirrors itself on mobile, and needs no installation and no Windows machine. That is why so many futures prop firms use it for both evaluation and funded stages, and why it is the default platform for traders working on macOS.

This category is aimed at futures traders who move between devices and are happy to add a third-party front end when they need deeper order-flow tooling. The ranking below applies the same tests used across the site: payout track record, how the drawdown is measured, whether consistency clauses are reasonable, total cost including market data, and how the firm behaves over time rather than during its launch promotion.

Detailed analysis

Ranked 1 on this list, My Funded Futures has been operating since 2023 and scores 80/100 on our scale. The risk envelope is a trailing (end of day) drawdown capped at 4 %. Funded traders keep 90 % of profits, with a first withdrawal available after 1 days. Notable freedoms: no time limit, news trading allowed. Launched in late 2023 in Delaware, My Funded Futures posts the highest customer satisfaction in our futures database, at 4.9/5 across more than 21,000 reviews. Its four plans share a 6 % target and an end-of-day trailing drawdown that locks above the starting balance. The notable trade-off: over 80 countries are excluded.

2

TradeDay

Futures

In second place, TradeDay has been operating since 2020 and scores 80/100 on our scale. Entry starts at $131 for a 1-phase evaluation. Funded traders keep 90 % of profits, with a first withdrawal available after 0 days. Notable freedoms: no time limit, news trading allowed. Available on tradovate, rithmic, ninjatrader, tradingview.

TradeDay was founded in Chicago in 2020 by two former institutional market professionals, and that background shows in the rulebook: no daily loss limit, news trading and scalping allowed, and withdrawals available from day one. The May 2026 rework dropped static drawdown accounts in favour of two paths, Quick Pay and Fast Pass.

3

Earn2Trade

Futures

In third place, Earn2Trade has been operating since 2016 and scores 79/100 on our scale. Entry starts at $150 for a 1-phase evaluation. Funded traders keep 80 % of profits. Notable freedoms: no time limit, news trading allowed. Available on ninjatrader, tradovate, tradingview, rithmic.

Earn2Trade does not fund traders itself: it is a US evaluation and education platform founded in 2016, with capital supplied by partner firms Helios, Appius and Kronos. Its TCP and Gauntlet Mini programs bill monthly, $150 to $550, cover CME futures only, cap the split at 80% and run a trailing EOD drawdown.

4

In 4th place, Top One Futures has been operating since 2025 and scores 78/100 on our scale. Entry starts at $39 for a 1-phase evaluation. Funded traders keep 90 % of profits. Notable freedoms: no time limit, news trading allowed. Available on tradingview, tradovate, ninjatrader.

Launched in Wyoming in April 2025, Top One Futures built its name on fast payouts and a 4.8/5 Trustpilot rating. Its four programs span monthly subscription, $39 access and instant funding. Two reservations: displayed prices include a permanent promotion, and a rules revision was applied to already-open accounts.

5

In 5th place, Elite Trader Funding has been operating since 2022 and scores 77/100 on our scale. Entry starts at $99 for a 1-phase evaluation. Funded traders keep 100 % of profits, with a first withdrawal available after 8 days. Notable freedoms: no time limit. Available on ninjatrader, tradingview, rithmic, tradovate.

At Elite Trader Funding the funded account stays simulated: the headline split is 100%, but payouts are capped at $25,000 per trader, after which moving to the LIVE ELITE program on an 80/20 split becomes mandatory. Six futures evaluation models, $47 resets, but activation fees of $177 to $307 and $87 a month once funded.

6

Topstep

Futures

In 6th place, Topstep has been operating since 2012 and scores 77/100 on our scale. Entry starts at $49 for a 1-phase evaluation. The risk envelope is a trailing (end of day) drawdown capped at 4 %. Funded traders keep 90 % of profits, with a first withdrawal available after 5 days. Notable freedoms: no time limit. Available on ninjatrader, tradovate, rithmic.

Founded in Chicago in 2012, Topstep is the oldest futures prop firm. It charges a monthly subscription rather than a one-off ticket, with a 6 % target and a trailing drawdown that locks once the starting balance is cleared. Its 90 % profit split and first withdrawal after five winning days are among the best in the segment.

7

In 7th place, FundedNext Futures has been operating since 2022 and scores 76/100 on our scale. Entry starts at $69.99 for a 1-phase evaluation. The risk envelope is a trailing (end of day) drawdown capped at 4 %, with 2 % allowed per day. Funded traders keep 95 % of profits. Notable freedoms: no time limit. Available on tradovate, ninjatrader, tradingview.

FundedNext's futures arm went live in April 2025 and runs entirely on one-step evaluations across Tradovate, NinjaTrader and TradingView. Five programs share the same trailing end-of-day drawdown, with no activation fee and pricing from 69.99 USD for a 50K Flex account. The trade-off: every position is closed out before 3:10 pm Chicago time.

8

Coming in at number 8, Take Profit Trader has been operating since 2021 and scores 76/100 on our scale. Entry starts at $150 for a 1-phase evaluation. Funded traders keep 90 % of profits, with a first withdrawal available after 0 days. Notable freedoms: no time limit, news trading allowed. Available on ninjatrader, tradingview, tradovate, rithmic, quantower.

Founded in Florida in late 2021, Take Profit Trader runs a three-tier path — Test, then PRO, then PRO+ on the live market — with withdrawals available from day one on a funded account. It excludes no countries, which is rare. The point to watch is the drawdown type changing between tiers, which catches many traders out.

9

Blue Guardian

Forex / CFD · Futures

In 9th place, Blue Guardian has been operating since 2021 and scores 73/100 on our scale. Entry starts at $72 on an instantly funded account. The risk envelope is a trailing (end of day) drawdown capped at 6 %, with 3 % allowed per day. Funded traders keep 90 % of profits. Notable freedoms: no time limit, expert advisors allowed. Available on mt5, tradelocker, match-trader, tradingview, ninjatrader, tradovate.

Blue Guardian has operated from Dubai since 2021 and covers both CFDs and futures across six platforms, with refundable challenge fees and an 85% split. The catch sits in risk enforcement: Guardian Shield closes every position at 2% floating loss and cuts the split to 50% on a first breach, and the Trustpilot rating is currently suspended.

10

Coming in at number 10, Apex Trader Funding has been operating since 2021 and scores 72/100 on our scale. The risk envelope is a trailing intraday drawdown capped at 5 %. Funded traders keep 100 % of profits, with a first withdrawal available after 5 days. Notable freedoms: no consistency rule. Available on rithmic, tradovate.

Apex Trader Funding trades futures only, on Rithmic and Tradovate, through a single 30 calendar-day evaluation with a 6% target. The Apex 4.0 rework of March 2026 swapped the monthly subscription for a one-off fee and added an end-of-day trailing drawdown alongside the intraday version. First payout comes after five qualifying trading days.

Why this ranking

Everything follows from the cloud model

Tradovate keeps execution on its own servers rather than on the trader’s machine, and every other characteristic descends from that. A browser is enough, the session resumes identically on another computer or on a phone, and macOS or Linux stop being an obstacle. Firms benefit symmetrically: provisioning an account, applying rules and revoking access happen instantly with no client-side support burden. That is why the platform dominates futures programmes, frequently covering evaluation and funded stages with one unchanged interface.

A foundation you are expected to extend

Tradovate handles the essentials competently — charts, DOM, order management, account tracking — while staying modest on deep order-flow analysis. That is rarely a blocker, because most firms allow Tradovate credentials to drive a third-party front end: advanced charting packages, volume profile tools, reconstructed book displays. So the useful question to put to support is not whether the platform is good, but which connectors are approved, which ones cost money, and who charges for them. A vague answer here often signals a programme assembled in a hurry.

The firm matters more than the software

Smooth software never compensates for weak terms. The decisive variables sit elsewhere: how drawdown is calculated and when it updates, whether a consistency rule caps how much of your profit may come from a single day, how many trading days precede a withdrawal, what resets cost, and above all whether conditions carry over unchanged from evaluation to funded stage. Some firms keep funded accounts in simulation, which changes what you bought. Check the market data policy too, since a reduced package limits book depth and directly penalises anyone trading from the DOM. One more check people skip: how long it takes between an approved payout and money actually landing. The platform is identical across firms, the treasury behind it is not, and that delay summarises how a company is run better than any sales page. The natural fit for this category is the mobile futures trader who wants a light workstation and low setup overhead. Someone whose entire process runs through locally installed order-flow software will find it less natural, even though bridges exist.

Frequently asked questions

Does Tradovate work on Mac?
Yes, with no workaround. Order handling happens on Tradovate servers, so a current browser is enough on macOS, Windows or Linux, and the mobile app reaches the same accounts. Sessions carry over between devices unchanged, which makes it the simplest option for futures traders who do not own a Windows machine.
Can I connect Tradovate to third-party charting software?
Often yes. Many firms allow Tradovate credentials to be used from advanced charting or order-flow applications. Permission depends on the firm, and some bridges carry a fee charged either by the software vendor or by the prop firm itself. Ask for the list of approved front ends before you buy.
Tradovate or NinjaTrader: which should I pick?
Tradovate is cloud-based, light and available anywhere. NinjaTrader is a Windows desktop application with deeper order-flow tooling, market replay and C# programming. They belong to the same group and serve different habits. Some firms offer one, some the other, some both, so choose on workflow rather than on brand recognition.
Are market data fees included in the challenge price?
It depends on the firm and on the data package. A basic feed is sometimes bundled, while full depth of book is usually billed monthly on top. Combined with reset fees, data costs can change which programme is genuinely cheaper, so check them before comparing headline prices.
