Verdict on Funded Trading Plus

A London firm founded in late 2021 and bought by Instant Funding in May 2026, Funded Trading Plus pays every 7 days on its 1-Step Express and Instant programs, with the split rising from 80 to 100% and scaling up to $5 million. The catch: intraday trailing drawdown on both, and a Trustpilot score the platform has pulled.

About Funded Trading Plus

Funded Trading Plus pros

  • Payouts land every 7 days on 1-Step Express and Instant, and every 10 days on the 2-Step Classic.
  • Profit split starts at 80% and can reach 100%, with a scaling plan running up to $5 million allocated.
  • The 2-Step Classic asks 7% per phase against static 8% drawdown, with no deadline at all.
  • Four platforms are available (MT5, cTrader, DXtrade, Match-Trader), accounts are swap-free, and EAs and scalping are permitted.
  • Fees are refundable on both evaluation programs, and overnight plus weekend holding is allowed on Express and Classic.

Points to consider

  • 1-Step Express and Instant both use 6% intraday trailing drawdown, the least forgiving way to measure a loss limit.
  • The Symbol Loss Limit bans any loss above 3% of equity on a single symbol within a day, and breaching it closes the account outright.
  • A 35% single-day consistency rule applies during 2-Step Classic evaluation, and leverage is held to 1:30 on the 1-Step Express.
  • Trustpilot removed the overall score for a guidelines breach, leaving 2,659 reviews with no rating, on top of a change of ownership in May 2026.
  • Payouts go out in crypto or through Rise only, with no bank transfer; the Instant program costs $4,499 for $100,000 and bars weekend holding.

Our full Funded Trading Plus review

Seven days between withdrawals on the 1-Step Express and on the Instant, ten on the 2-Step Classic: payout cadence is Funded Trading Plus’s central commercial argument, and it holds up. What it costs is written into the drawdown calculation, and it is that parameter — not the price, not the profit split — that decides whether this route suits you.

Funded Trading Plus: a 2021 firm under new ownership since May 2026

Funded Trading Plus was founded in December 2021 in London under the entity FTP London Ltd, and it is run by Simon Massey. It claims more than 60,000 traders across 180 countries and $19.5 million in cumulative payouts — figures communicated by the company, verified by no third party.

On 26 May 2026, the firm was acquired by the British prop firm Instant Funding, for a seven-figure sum. The two brands remain independent and the announced integration covers only technical and operational infrastructure, with no change to accounts, rules or payouts. That is the most reassuring version of an acquisition, but the rulebook you accept now belongs to a company whose shareholder changed three months ago.

A second element, more awkward. Trustpilot removed the overall rating from the fundedtradingplus.com profile for breaching its guidelines, in a case involving the deletion of fake reviews. As of 28 August 2026, 2,659 reviews remain displayed with no aggregate score. The consequence is concrete: the usual reflex, checking the average star before buying, does not work here. You have to read recent reviews one by one, looking for the ones that mention refused withdrawals or closed accounts.

Those two points explain our trust score of 74 out of 100, well behind the 93 obtained on rule fairness and the 92 on trading conditions, for a total of 80.

Three Funded Trading Plus programmes, three distinct risk contracts

The 2-Step Classic asks for 7% profit in phase 1 then 7% in phase 2, with a daily loss capped at 4% and a total drawdown of 8% calculated on a static basis. Accounts from $10,000 to $100,000, at $89 to $549, leverage 1:50. No time limit, but a 35% consistency rule during the evaluation.

The 1-Step Express brings the target down to a single 10% phase, keeps the daily loss at 4% and moves the total drawdown to 6% intraday trailing. Accounts from $10,000 to $200,000, at $99 to $999, leverage cut to 1:30, no documented consistency rule.

The Instant removes the evaluation: $249 for $5,000 allocated, $4,499 for $100,000. A 6% daily loss and a 6% intraday trailing total drawdown — the two values are identical, which means a single day pushed to the daily limit ends the account permanently. No profit target is set.

The trade-off deserves thirty seconds. At $100,000, the Classic and the Express cost the same, $549. On smaller sizes, the Classic is even cheaper ($89 against $99 at $10,000, $319 against $349 at $50,000), with a wider drawdown, higher leverage and a second phase to correct a laborious phase 1. The Express brings only three things: the $200,000 size absent from the Classic, the 7-day payout cycle instead of 10, and the absence of consistency. If none of those applies to you, paying the same price for a harder drawdown is a bad calculation.

Funded Trading Plus’s intraday trailing, and what 6% means during a session

This is the point to understand before any purchase on the Express or the Instant. A static drawdown, the Classic’s, sets a floor at the start and does not move it: the 8% is measured from the initial balance, whatever high was reached in between. An intraday trailing drawdown re-anchors on the highest equity level reached during the session, unrealised included, and never comes back down.

Translation: a favourable move that you have not closed consumes your future room. A position that rises during the session then returns to its starting point has earned you nothing, but it has lifted the floor permanently. Approaches that let a gain run before giving part of it back — most trend-following strategies — are structurally penalised. On the Express, only 6% is left between the equity high and account closure, 4% of which can be consumed in a single day.

Our price pillar is scored 62, and our data documents no reset price. On a calculation this tight, where breaches are frequent, that unadvertised restart price is an unknown to clear up before paying.

Two Funded Trading Plus rules that close an account without warning

The Symbol Loss Limit prohibits any loss above 3% of equity on a single symbol within the day. Exceeding it means immediate account closure, not a warning. On a $100,000 account, the loss tolerated on EURUSD or on gold taken in isolation therefore caps at $3,000 within the day. A trader who builds a single position and averages into it can reach that threshold well before the 4% daily limit.

The consistency rule on the 2-Step Classic requires that no single day exceed 35% of total profit during the evaluation, a threshold raised to 50% once the account is funded. It forbids passing on a single trade.

Finally, while no time limit weighs on the evaluations, an account is suspended when no trade has been opened and closed over 30 calendar days. Freedom of rhythm stops there.

Cashing out fast at Funded Trading Plus, but through two channels only

The profit split starts at 80% and can reach 100% through the scaling plan, whose maximum allocation rises to $5 million. The withdrawal cycle is 7 days on the Express and the Instant, 10 days on the Classic. That is fast, and it justifies our 82 on that pillar.

The restriction is elsewhere: payments only go out in crypto or via Rise, never by bank transfer. For a French resident, that assumes a working crypto wallet or an approved Rise account, and tax handling of the conversions that would not exist with a transfer. The delay before the very first withdrawal is not published: a question for support before buying, all the more so as our support score comes out at 62.

Who the Funded Trading Plus structure benefits, and who it harms

It benefits the already consistent trader, who takes short profits, cuts fast, spreads risk across several instruments and wants to withdraw every week rather than wait for a monthly cycle. Scaling up to $5 million and a split that can reach 100% give them a long runway. The operational freedoms follow: four platforms (MT5, cTrader, DXtrade, Match-Trader), five instrument classes, swap-free accounts, EAs and scalping allowed, overnight and weekend holding permitted on the Express and the Classic.

It harms the trader who concentrates risk on a single symbol, the one who lets positions breathe for several days with a large unrealised gain, the one who wants to be paid into their bank account, and the beginner: an intraday trailing drawdown is the worst possible learning ground. As for the Instant, at $4,499 for $100,000 against $549 via the evaluated route, it is only justified if you categorically refuse any evaluation; it also prohibits weekend holding, with mandatory closure on Friday at 16:30 EST.

What to open on Funded Trading Plus’s site before paying

The rulebook does not publish its position on trading through economic releases, on hedging, or on the type of spread applied. Three points to confirm with the firm if your strategy depends on them. Copy trading, for its part, is explicitly restricted, and the Instant’s leverage is not documented, unlike that of the Express and the Classic.

Then check which programme you are buying: the old Experienced, Advanced and Premium Trader plans are being phased out, and many online reviews still describe their rules, which no longer apply.

On access, 23 countries are excluded and France is not among them. The minimum age is 18 and KYC is mandatory: get your documents ready before the first withdrawal, not at the moment the money becomes available. Data verified as of 28 August 2026.
