Goat Funded Trader review

Very good

Verdict on Goat Funded Trader

Goat Funded Trader launched in 2023 out of Hong Kong. It publishes a full price grid, runs static drawdown across its three evaluation models, and pays every 14 days with a profit split from 80 % up to 100 %. The counterweight: its Trustpilot score is suspended over fake reviews, rules tightened in summer 2026, and 29 countries are excluded.

About Goat Funded Trader

Worth a look if you want a static-drawdown challenge, permissive trading rules and a short payout cycle, and you accept a young firm whose public reputation has taken a hit and whose rules were tightened in summer 2026. Skip it if you are aiming at the trailing-intraday instant funding tiers, if you live in one of the 29 excluded countries, or if a suspended Trustpilot rating is a dealbreaker for you.

  • Payouts land every 14 days, processed within 2 business days, $100 minimum, paid in crypto, via Rise or through PayPal.
  • No restrictions on news trading, overnight positions or weekend holding, and Expert Advisors are permitted.
  • Profit split starts at 80 % and can reach 100 % through the scaling plan, on MT5, cTrader or TradeLocker.

Points to consider

  • Trustpilot has suspended the overall rating for a breach of its rules: 4,252 reviews displayed, 37 % of them one-star.
  • Instant Funding GOAT and Goat Blitz switch to trailing intraday drawdown, considerably harder to manage than the static challenges.
  • A session only counts as a valid trading day if it gains at least 0.5 % of the account's starting balance.
  • The first two payouts are capped at 6 % of account size or $10,000, whichever is lower, and counted daily gain is capped at $3,000.
  • 29 restricted countries, including Hong Kong where the company itself is registered, plus Singapore, South Korea, Israel and Chile.

Our full Goat Funded Trader review

Our grid gives Goat Funded Trader 98 out of 100 on rule fairness, and 66 on trust. Thirty-two points apart, for a firm launched in May 2023: one of the most flexible challenge rulebooks we have recorded, applied by a young structure with a damaged public reputation.

Goat Funded Trader’s static drawdown, and what it actually allows

The three evaluation formats share the same mechanism: maximum loss is calculated statically, from the starting balance, and the floor never rises. The 1-Step targets a 10% gain, with 3% daily loss and 6% total loss. The 2-Step Standard asks for 10% then 5%, with 5% daily and 10% total loss. The 2-Step GOAT is the gentlest at entry: 8% then 6%, 4% daily, 10% total loss. All three require three minimum trading days.

On a $100,000 2-Step Standard, the floor is laid at $90,000 and does not move. Winning then giving most of that gain back therefore does not eliminate you as long as the balance stays above that threshold: the progress made becomes a cushion instead of a constraint. That is exactly what trailing takes away, and what explains the score of 98.

Two caveats. The 1-Step’s daily limit went from 4% to 3% for accounts bought from 1 August 2026, which makes every earlier comparison obsolete. And the 3-Step model, still documented in the help centre, has disappeared from the pricing configurator.

No consistency rule on these three challenges. Announcements, overnight and weekend positions, Expert Advisors: everything is allowed, only copy trading is restricted, across six instrument classes and three platforms — MT5, cTrader, TradeLocker.

Goat Funded Trader’s Instant Funding and Goat Blitz work the other way round

The other two products switch to an intraday trailing drawdown. Instant Funding GOAT applies 3% daily and 6% total loss, both trailing on equity, with five valid trading days and a 15% consistency rule. Goat Blitz asks for only a 3% gain, but with 3% daily and 5% total loss on a trailing basis, five valid days as well, from a $2,500 account.

Intraday trailing follows the highest equity reached during the session, unrealised included: an unrealised gain later given back consumes your room without ever having been banked. On Goat Blitz, the 3% target looks reachable, but it is the floor rising behind each push that eliminates you, not the target. These two formats are not lighter challenges: they are harder products, sold as shortcuts.

Goat Funded Trader’s 0.5% rule: the day counter does not advance on its own

A day only counts as a valid trading day if it produces at least 0.5% of the initial balance. On a $100,000 account, you have to net $500 within the session.

A trader with modest positions, or who closes slightly negative, therefore does not advance a day. Across the three days required in a challenge, the obstacle remains clearable. Across the five valid days of Instant Funding and Goat Blitz, backed by a trailing floor, the rule pushes you to size up in order to validate days: more risk exactly where the loss limit is tightest.

Goat Funded Trader payouts: a short cycle, the first two payments capped

The rhythm is fourteen days, processing within two business days, a $100 minimum, in crypto, via Rise or PayPal. The split starts at 80% and can reach 100% through the scaling plan, for a maximum allocation of $400,000. Our payouts pillar is scored 85, thanks to that cycle.

The cap is elsewhere. The first two payments are limited to 6% of the initial account size or $10,000, whichever is lower: on $100,000, the ceiling falls to $6,000. Gains counted are limited to $3,000 per day, so performance concentrated in one or two big sessions will not translate fully into the first withdrawals. The delay before the very first payment is not published: only the fourteen-day periodicity is.

Goat Funded Trader: Trustpilot suspended, and two registrations

As of 28 August 2026, the Trustpilot rating for goatfundedtrader.com is suspended for breaching the platform’s guidelines, on fake-review grounds. The page shows 4,252 reviews, 37% of them one star and 49% five, with no TrustScore calculated.

That distribution is the real signal. A profile that polarised, combined with a suspension, makes the public indicator unusable: no average, since it no longer exists, and no individual reviews, part of which prompted the sanction. You buy without the usual check — hence our trust pillar at 66 and support at 59.

The legal structure calls for the same caution. Goat Funded Trader is a trading name of Wishes Tower International Limited, registered in Hong Kong under number 76428795, but the simulated trading services are provided by Goat Funded LTD, registered in Saint Lucia: in a dispute, that is your counterparty. Hong Kong is in fact among the countries excluded from the client base, as are Singapore, South Korea, Israel and Chile.

The prices Goat Funded Trader advertises, and why you must recheck them at checkout

The grid is published size by size. Entry is at $36 for a $5,000 2-Step GOAT, $52 on the 2-Step Standard, $74 on the 1-Step; on $100,000, we record $478, $628 and $530 respectively, and the Goat Blitz runs from $47 to $617.

Our confidence in those amounts remains middling: a third-party source records appreciably different prices on $100,000 — $618 on the 1-Step, $594 on the 2-Step Standard, $458 on the 2-Step GOAT — and only the Goat Blitz at $617 matches exactly. On top comes a permanent 40 to 50% discount: as of 28 August 2026, code FIRSTGFT gives 50% on the first account, code BOGO40 gives 40% along with a BOGO offer. The list price is never the price paid, hence our score of 53 on the price pillar.

The challenge fee refund, often presented as a given, is documented nowhere in the help centre: treat fees as non-refundable until the firm puts it in writing.

Goat Funded Trader: who it suits, and who it certainly does not

The well-served profile is the swing trader or discretionary intraday trader who wants a fixed floor, the freedom to trade announcements and hold positions, automation, and a cash-out every two weeks. On those criteria, the 2-Step Standard and the 2-Step GOAT stand up to comparison.

The wrong profile is easy to spot. The scalper making small daily gains runs into the 0.5% rule before ever meeting the drawdown. Anyone going for instant funding buys the most restrictive product in the catalogue, and anyone counting on a substantial first withdrawal hits the 6% cap. If you live in one of the twenty-seven countries listed in the help centre — twenty-nine according to the public page, which includes non-state entities — access is closed to you. France is not among them.

What to check at Goat Funded Trader before paying

Verify the drawdown type of the exact product in your basket: static and intraday trailing coexist under similar names. Trust the daily limit shown on screen, not the one in a comparison table, since the 1-Step changed on 1 August 2026.

Look at leverage, which differs on either side of funding: 1:100 on forex during evaluation against 1:50 once funded, 1:20 against 1:10 on indices and commodities. A strategy calibrated during the challenge will have to be resized.

Finally, confirm the real checkout price after promo codes, your country’s eligibility and the refund clause. KYC is mandatory: get your documents ready in advance, not at the first payout. Our data is verified as of 28 August 2026 — on a firm that has just tightened its rules, the date matters as much as the figure.
