Which prop firm is right for you?
There is no best prop firm in the abstract, only the one whose rules match how you trade. This quiz asks seven questions — market, budget, tolerance for trailing drawdown, expected payout speed, trading style, platform and withdrawal method — then computes a match percentage for every firm in our database. Matching uses exactly the same verified fields as the comparison table: a firm with missing data on a criterion scores no points on it, rather than being arbitrarily favoured or penalised. The result is a direction, not a verdict: read the profiles of the recommended firms before paying for anything.
Which market do you want to trade?
How the match score is computed
Each answer activates a weighted filter. Market, budget and drawdown model carry the most weight, because they are the three criteria that make a firm genuinely unsuitable when they do not match: a futures firm does not suit a forex trader, an out-of-budget entry ticket is disqualifying, and intraday trailing ruins most swing approaches.
Platform and withdrawal method weigh less: they are strong preferences, rarely impossibilities. Our own score comes in last, to separate firms with equal matching — it counts for one fifth of the final result, never more.
The questions that actually matter
If you could only answer three questions, these would be them.
Your market. Forex, futures and crypto are three different jobs with three distinct firm ecosystems, non-overlapping platforms and opposite business models — a one-off ticket in forex, a monthly subscription in futures.
Your tolerance for trailing. If you hold positions for days or let winners run, an intraday trailing drawdown will eventually eliminate you on a move you consider normal.
Your real budget. Not the price of one challenge, but what you are willing to lose in attempts before giving up. Multiply the entry price by two or three: that is the figure to compare.
After the quiz
The recommended firms are selected on objective criteria, not on commercial generosity. Before buying, check three things on the profile that the quiz does not cover: the restricted-country list if you are not resident in a common jurisdiction, how long the firm has been operating, and whether documented incidents appear in its history.
